Senior Java Kotlin Developer (64397)

Our dynamic client on the software development service market is looking for Medior/Senior Java Kotlin Developers. It is undefinable if our client's most attractive point is their professionalism in the wide range of interesting and challenging projects (from world-class apps to AR solutions or even programming robots, public transport applications, fintech platforms...), their approach to doing their business right (not just writing a code but to develop impactful products used by millions every day) or the vibe of their team who delivers amazing products and forms a great community at the same time.

 

Your daily tasks will include:

• Contributing to the design and development of a stable, scalable back-end system from the ground up
• Writing clean, maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices and integrates seamlessly with CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborating effectively within a dynamic team environment and engaging in exciting and cutting-edge tech initiatives
• Contributing to discussions on system architecture and technical planning
• Providing occasional guidance to junior developers and contributing to team knowledge-sharing
• Collaborating with and supporting the work of our Seniors, Tech Leads and Architects

 

You are a potential candidate if you fulfil with the following requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in the Java ecosystem, ideally with Kotlin or Java
• Familiarity with the latest Java versions (especially with the last two LTS - 17 and 21)
• Hands-on experience with back-end frameworks (Spring or Micronaut)
• Experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases
• A genuine enthusiasm for staying current with evolving industry trends and technologies
• A strong object-oriented programming (OOP) foundation and a commitment to SOLID principles
• A passion for writing clean, maintainable code, adhering to best practices (if you're a Clean Code/Coder/Architecture fan, you're more than welcome)
• Experience in containerization and Kubernetes is a nice-to-have
• Experience with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Intermediate or higher English proficiency to collaborate effectively in an international team

 

Other conditions:

• You should be present once every week in the office in Budapest's heart
• You should be opened to work as a contractor, even have a freelancer status
