Company info

Főgáz is one of the biggest Hungarian gas distributors with more than 3.4 Million customers. It is part of the NKM (Nemzeti Közművek group) which supplies the Hungarian consumer and commercial market with electricity and gas.

Challenge

Főgáz is a major state company, having projects all across the country and is highly increasing its portfolio. Therefore, they needed a comprehensive solution which provides centralised resource planning and financial management capabilities to support portfolio management and give better insight for company leaders on overall project performance.

Solution

Being relatively new to project management, the company was looking for a solution that provides the best practice of the industry and in addition being capable of supporting the development of new project management processes.

Result

Főgáz decided to use Clarity PPM as an integrated tool for project, resource, financial and portfolio management. The implementation was finished in 2015. Since then, the number of active users has been increased rapidly and a time tracking functionality has been introduced.  Currently, the company is rolling out the solution to other subsidiaries of the parent company.
